Natural Origin - Found in highest concentrations in July and August. Found solitary or in small groups on downed logs of both hardwood and conifers, also on living trees.
Indoor Origin - Carried in by outside air movement. Elevated levels may be associated with dry rot in wood.
Pathoginicity - Not known to be pathogenic.
Diseases - None associated with this spore.
